Google Logo

The Goggle Logo at the top of the search engine page is always a great thing to get your students to click on.   An opportunity to learn the history of a person or information about a day of celebration.

Today the Google Logo is all about Earth Day with a simple click on the logo your students can go to an Earth Day Quiz.

Teachers Environment Fund

The Teachers Environment Fund is a grant that helps schools, TAFEs and CITs make their environmental projects a reality. Grants of up to $2,000 are given bi-annually to help schools with their environmental projects.

Typical projects used by teachers in sustainable education programmes include:

• Water and energy savings
• Habitat conservation, biodiversity, tree planting
• Chicken coups, Worm farms
• Outdoor learning areas
• Waste, recycling and composting projects
• Aboriginal cultural projects
• Vegetable and kitchen gardens, organic produce
