Teachers Environment Fund

The Teachers Environment Fund is a grant that helps schools, TAFEs and CITs make their environmental projects a reality. Grants of up to $2,000 are given bi-annually to help schools with their environmental projects.



Typical projects used by teachers in sustainable education programmes include:
  • Water and energy savings
  • Habitat conservation, biodiversity, tree planting
  • Chicken coups, Worm farms
  • Outdoor learning areas
  • Waste, recycling and composting projects
  • Aboriginal cultural projects
  • Vegetable and kitchen gardens, organic produce

Applications for round 2 open on 30th April 2015.
